To this end, every cylinder is hydro-tested in the factory to 150% of maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP). The final OK to ship an Ariel compressor is only granted after a test run of at least four hours with special break-in oil. After the test run, a master inspector performs a thorough inspection of the entire machine and, proudly puts his permanent nameplate on the compressor.
